Corendon retires B737-400 after end of Iraqi contract

Corendon Airlines (XC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen International (SAW)) has retired its two remaining B737-400s TC-TJE (MSN 26073) and TC-TJF (MSN 26078) from its fleet. According to Skyliner Aviation, the two aircraft will be replaced by the company's own two B737-800s currently operating on a wet-lease contract on behalf of Iraqi Airways (IA, Baghdad International (BGW)) that is expected to end soon. Corendon now operates a single B737-300 alongside five B737-800s although one of the five B737-800s is currently still grounded at Antalya (AYT) following a cockpit fire on October 14.
